On this little journey, I was feeling adventurous. I took a few turns that I don't usually, and, in the spirit of the whole thing, decided to jump the 2-foot guard rail and follow a little dried-up stream. It felt like being in the wilderness (well it was, sort of); the plants were all growing over two feet, and everything was overgrown and closed off. I started hiking up the "trail", which was more of an area that had been recently trampled over than actually designated for walking on. In several places, the "trail" area that had been cleared out was low, about two or three feet off the ground, leading me to believe it was probably made by an animal
During my little hike, I stumbled upon a bone! It was small, maybe two centimeters in diameter along the length of the bone and three or four at the end. I think it was probably a wrist bone of a juvenile deer. I picked it up and continued hiking...to find more of the skeleton further up! I wish I knew anatomy!!! Anyway, there weren't too many lying around, but of what I could see there were pieces of the legs, ribs, and vertebra. Several of them were broken...perhaps this little deer met its fate at the jaws of a mountain lion? At that point, I put the original bone down and took one of the vertebrae instead, and turned back. Right now, the bone is sitting in my room, and my sister wants me to put it back because she doesn't want the animal to haunt us (she claims).
I want to go back and investigate the area more later...maybe with a buddy xD. Well, there's my little anecdote for the day.

I SEE YOU!
